Have your say

Your feedback will help us to understand the priorities and aspirations of the local community as we bring forward our proposals for a sustainably located, landscape-led neighbourhood of high-quality new homes for Streethay.

Once you have had an opportunity to read an overview of the emerging plans, and view the interactive concept masterplan, please take a moment to complete our feedback questionnaire below.

Please ensure feedback is submitted by midday on Friday 27 December 2024 to ensure that it is taken into account as we prepare to submit a full planning application.

If you would like to be kept updated on the emerging proposals, the subsequent planning application and statutory consultation carried out by Lichfield District Council, as well as progress with the plans, please ensure you select “Opt-in to email updates” at the end of the form.

Do you welcome our landscape-led approach to providing high-quality homes with around 50% of the site retained as open space, including extensive landscaped green public open space for the whole community?

Comments

Do you have any comments on our concept layout for the new neighbourhood?

What kind of homes would you like to see prioritised?

Comments

What current local issues do you feel are most important for consideration as the plans are prepared?

Comments

There is the potential for the proposed development to generate funding towards the delivery of Streethay’s Community Centre in negotiation with the Parish Council and Lichfield District Council. Is this something you would welcome?

Comments

Up to 28% of the new homes would be affordable homes, enabling key workers and people on low incomes to secure a home of their own in Streethay. Would you like to see this prioritised for people with local connections through local occupancy criteria?

Comments

Are you, or is someone you know, interested in securing a new home in Streethay?

Comments

We recognise that a low carbon future is an important priority for the community and will ensure that new homes are as sustainable as possible, including potential measures such as air source heat pumps, EV charging infrastructure, PV cells and the latest standards of insulation. Is this important to you?

Comments

Around 50% of the total site area will be set aside as open space, including extensive landscaped public open space, with proposals to deliver more varied habitats and boost the biodiversity value of the site to provide biodiversity net gain in line with local and national requirements. Is this a priority for you?

Comments

The proposed development will generate financial contributions for investment into local services. This is determined by the local planning authority. What are your priorities for investment in Streethay and the surrounding area?

Comments

It is proposed that primary vehicular access to the new development would be from Thompson Way close to its junction with the A5127. This would seek to avoid the need for construction traffic and vehicular movements from the new neighbourhood to pass through Roman Heights to access the primary network. Is this important to you?
